What is the mission of the event?: Join us for a free day of learning! Tri-County is excited to offer MHFA, the nationally recognized, evidence-based training, to help equip individuals to support our military connected community that may be struggling with mental health or substance use challenges.
While military service often fosters resilience in individuals and families, some may experience mental health or substance use challenges. Mental Health First Aid for Service Members, Veterans, and Their Families focuses on the unique experiences and needs of the military, veteran, and family population. Unlike physical conditions, mental health challenges can be difficult to detect, so those in need of mental health services often don’t get them until it is too late.
Through interactive instruction and hands-on activities, we hope it'll increase your confidence to respond and ability to offer meaningful support to others and help get them connected to care.
Who should attend this event?: adults 18 years and older who is military connected or anyone interested in helping military connected individuals and families
